Delete your Barabar account

Applies to the Barabar Android app (app.hisaabbarabar) and the website.

In the app or on the website

1. Open Barabar (on the web: hisaabbarabar.app/app) and sign in with the same Google, Apple or email account.
2. Go to Settings.
3. Under Account, tap Delete my account, then confirm.

Your account is deleted immediately and you are signed out.

By email

If you cannot open the app, email saarconsultation@gmail.com from the address you signed in with, with the subject "Delete my Barabar account". We delete the account within 30 days and confirm by email.

What is deleted

• Your account: email address and name.
• The cloud copy of your private books (personal and khata) and their entries.
• Your membership of shared books and any invite links you created.

What is kept

• Shared books you created pass to another member instead of being deleted, because they also hold your flatmates' or friends' records. Entries in them are not tied to your account after deletion.
• Books on your phone stay until you remove them with Settings → Erase, or uninstall the app.

We keep no other copy. Deleted cloud data cannot be recovered.
